THE PRINCIPLE AND PHILOSOPHY OF TANG SOO DO
Tang Soo Do has been inherited and developed as a martial art of protecting the nation from the outside and protecting the family and ourselves in the harsh natural environment. In the process, the goal of simple physical training for the development of human self-defense was changed to the goal of completing spiritual training and generating infinite power by 'Nae-Gong," the basis of mental training. In addition, by giving it the meaning of inheriting the soul of the people, it was given significance as a "do" that transcends the limits of martial arts.
In training Tang Soo Do, there is a limit to the destructive power of physical training, so the movement itself should be involved with the concentration of "spirit" and "Ki(Chi)" to create formidable energy, which is possible by "Nae-Gong" principle, and this stage is described as "Do." When you reach the "Do" stage, martial arts means more to your own mental and physical discipline through infinite mental concentration than the art of killing others. Contemporary science is also demonstrated in terms of internal discipline and martial arts.
The people who trained Tang Soo Do, the Korean traditional martial arts, will study and develop traditional martial arts and distribute them around the world. Therefore, we will help solve the problem of the mentally devastating modern society and make Korea the center of the world's martial arts spirit by creating a society of those with respect for human beings.
