Hapki-Zen Practical Training 

 

In Hapki-Zen when performs a joint lock, he stops twisting the other’s joints at a certain point and rather aids the person in doing a kind of stretching or yoga. That is, the one who performs the joint lock releases energy from the center of his body and the person who has been twisted performs the “center twist spiral stretch” to make himself “clean.”

To feel, concentrate, observe these body movements and recognize oneself in order to be awake is training Hapki-Zen.

 

Color Belt Curriculum and the Instructor System of Hapki-Zen

 

Age of training: Can be trained from age 5+. Instructors should be black belt holders in other Korean arts (Hapkido, Taekwondo, Kumdo, etc.) or masters and they also should be over the age of 30. Examination of members who have trained for more than two years for Hapki-Zen, and grant their instructor status.

 

Instructors: Trained for 2 years, over the age of 30,

Masters: Trained for 5 years, over the age of 40,

Senior masters: Trained for 10 years, over the age of 50,

Grand masters: Trained for 15 years, over the age of 60

 

-Belt Ranks

 

Beginner White belt: Sitting and standing breathing exercises,

Fist-strike interaction, Balanced kick.

- Yellow: Basic yin and yang,

- Blue: 파지 yin and yang,

- Red: Fist yin and yang

 

Black belt- Assistant instructor black belt

 

Instructor- Instructors: black and yellow belt,

Masters: black and blue,

Senior masters: black and red belt,

Grand masters: white and black belt

 

 

~ Primary group ~

 

Beginner's training curriculum- In the beginning, it is composed of the preliminary exercises working with breathing that provides vitality to the opening of the entire body's skin, muscles, bones, blood vessels, nerves, etc, muscle ligament stretching, and basic system exercises for mental training.

- Basic stances and movement (Sitting and standing) Zen

 

- Fist-strike interaction Zen

 

- Balanced kick Zen

 

- Break fall Zen

 

- Self-defense first 6 techniques (Sitting and standing)

Intermediate training curriculum -It is a training method that allows the movement of the center of the body to twist and strengthen the energy generated by the body's gravitational pull and allow the circulation to reach your fingertips and tips of your toes.

- Fist-strike interaction Zen

 

- Balanced Kick Zen

 

- Break fall Zen

 

- Self-defense first 6 techniques (moving to left and right)

Advanced Practitioners Training Curriculum- In an intermediate training program, the energy is released by the body gravity. In the advanced program, you can convert the energy and practice freely. and conduct training with the mind. It is mind focused performance training.

- Fist-strike interaction Zen

 

- Balanced Kick Zen

 

- Break fall Zen

 

- Self-defense first 6 techniques (switch)
